About
Mitch Betts
I’m a journalist and aspiring futurist. In this blog I write about the future of business, government, technology and society. Favorite topics include emerging trends, strategic foresight, public policy issues, business trends, competitive intelligence, market intelligence and social issues.
I’m a member of the World Future Society, a nonprofit, nonpartisan association of people interested in how social and technological developments are shaping the future. I’m also a member of The Foresight Network and Future Forum.
A few notes about this blog:
- I work on this blog at night. Posts that are predominantly about information technology are located at the my daytime work blog, Computerworld’s Think Tank: Brain food for IT strategists. I’m executive editor at Computerworld magazine and the Web site Computerworld.com.
- Posts tagged “politics” are nonpartisan discussions of public policy issues that will be increasingly important in the future.
- This blog accepts NO advertising and the author accepts NO financial favors from any business or organization. It’s 100% independent.
- This blog was formerly titled “Corporate Intelligence.”
